Курица фермерское животное, живущее в птичнике. В одном птичнике, который строится отдельно, может жить до 4-х куриц. Купить куриц можно в Ранчо Марни за data-sort-value="800">800 з., так же курицы вылупляются из яиц в инкубаторе. При покупке или вылуплении птицы, она должна быть определена в птичник и названа по имени. Если вы не хотите думать над кличкой, то её можно сгенерировать случайным образом соответствующей кнопкой.

Цыплята бывают белыми, коричневыми и синими(синий может быть получен только внутриигровом событии связанном с персонажем Шейн(подробности уточняются)). Цвет присваивается курице случайным образом при покупке и вылуплении. Белые куры несут белые яйца, коричневые - соответственно коричневые. Цвет имеет значение если вы выполняете задание в Общественном центре. Синие курицы производят каждый раз разного цвета яйца.

Care

Hatchlings or just-purchased chickens do not need to be fed on the day they arrive on the farm, although they respond as normal to petting. Afterwards, babies and adults require the same care and amounts of food. Baby chicks that are given food reach maturity on the third day after hatching or purchase. Beginning the fourth day, adult chickens that were fed the day before produce an egg apiece every morning.

Chickens eat hay, which can be purchased from Marnie or harvested from grass. If there is grass in the yard outside the coop and you open the coop door to let them outside, they will eat the grass rather than hay, and receive a mood boost as well. This option is not available in winter (when there is no grass), and during that season they will not venture outside even if the doors remain open.

Produce

The Chicken can produce a (White) Egg or Brown Egg every morning. Once sufficient friendship and happiness is reached, a chicken can produce a Large Egg or Large Brown Egg which sells for data-sort-value="95">95 з..

Eggs can also be placed in the Mayonnaise Machine to produce Mayonnaise, which sells for data-sort-value="190">190 з. or data-sort-value="285">285 з. depending on quality.

Blue Chickens

After seeing Shane's 8-heart event, each chicken you purchase from Marnie or hatch from a brown or white egg has a 1/4 chance of being blue. Aside from appearance, blue chickens are identical to regular white and brown chickens.

Blue chickens are hatched as blue chicks. As of v1.2, the top of the screen will display the color of chicken at the time of purchase or hatching. If you are trying for a blue chicken and don't get one, you can exit and restart that day.

Blue chickens may also be a reference to "Cojiro", a similar blue cucco from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

Selling
